Comic Chaos Mystery Boxes

Comics have been something that I wish I had started collecting, back in the day, but never managed to get my head around. Living in the sticks of deepest darkest N.Ireland, regular trips to the comic store in Belfast wasn’t really an option. I therefore grew up with an idea of what was going on in various comics but not a ‘knowledge’ that some of my fellow GPers had / have. Where would I start? I had no idea..

It was with time that I just resigned myself to not being a comic book geek, I would just have to live vicariously through other peoples collections and glean whatever knowledge I could from them. Gone were the days that I envisaged myself with a Brodyesq, Malrats collection “touch not least ye be touched”

Or are they?

A few days ago I received a box in the post. Hmm Wasn’t expecting anything… ouw I do love surprises, though if it’s a severed head, or a gun rack I’ll be very upset.. ok maybe not if it’s a gun rack; I digress.

Tentatively opening the box, least I trip some sort of explosive devise, I open the lid and too my surprise; COMICS… LOTS OF COMICS!

The penny dropped, I had been talking to the guys at Comic Chaos recently and they had kindly said they would send me over one of their boxes to give away… and here they were. 20, pristine, sleeved and boarded comics, ranging from well-known to, completely obscure, I felt it now.. that new comic book feeling and it was a Wednesday too!

Reminding me of those packets of collectable cards you used to get – never knowing what you were going to find but hoping you got that special, limited edition card and if not at least you got some gum.. that’s right they even provide some sweets- They came well packed and the comics themselves were of a good range and variety (all in mint condition); though If I am to be honest I haven’t heard of some… don’t kill me!

This isn’t overly a bad thing at all, as it opened up a new world of unknown characters and superheroes that I wasn’t aware of, or knew little about, and if anything made me want to go and hunt out more. This could be to some people the start of their collection, or at least the start to their love affair with comics.

Price wise, if you are to believe the site boast (£18.49 for 16 or £33.99 for 32) it seems you are getting a bit of a bargain as well, with the potential to find something truly rare in amongst your new acquisitions.

If you love comics, you have come to the right place.

Here at Comic Chaos we ship awesome mystery boxes of must have comics. That include new, rare ,old and sometimes epic random comics starting from just £18.49 including FREE UK Shipping

(with a potential value of over £100*)

There’s no time to waste – FEED YOUR ADDICTION!

They also have a great promotion going that if you share a photo of your first purchase on FB they will send you 4 extra comics in your next order and if you join them for  1, 3 or 6 months they will pick a random person to get a MEGA box of 100… free stuff is always good but A MEGA BOX IS AWESOME!

All in all looking pretty damn good BUT I have a feeling that true comic book geeks may not get as much of a kick out of this as say a noob like me, or even more casual collectors, but hey there is always the chance you will find a diamond in the rough and if anything (like trading cards) it might give your currency to trade in doubles for that 1st edition you never got… Always thinking outside of the comic box me!

All in all a pretty nifty idea and hey.. who doesn’t like comics? Definitely worth a look.
