The classic cartoon from Hanna-Barbera, which was originally broadcast in the 60’s, before becoming a regular early morning cartoon fixture in the UK, featured a whole host of bizarre characters and equally bizarre vehicles who would race against each other in each episode. Characters would often engage in underhand tactics to try and gain an advantage, one of the most well recognised being Dick Dasterdly and his side kick the sniggering dog, Muttley.

The ad directed by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet for Young & Rubicam Brasil features a live action take on the classic cartoon, as a driver races characters such as the cavemen Slag Brothers in the Boulder Mobile, the Gruesome Twosome with their stylized hearse, the pint-sized Ant Hill Mob gangsters in the Bulletproof Bomb, and Dick Dasterdly in the Mean Machine, amongst others.

After seeing off the other drivers, he finally stops to come to the aid of Penelope Pitstop at the side of the road where her car the Compact Pussycat has apparently broken down.
