The latest casting news for Gotham, the upcoming TV show telling the story of a young Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) navigating the shadows of Gotham City, has cast Jada Pinkett Smith, still best known as Niobe in The Matrix films, as Fish Mooney.
Mooney a new character not from the comics is a gangster boss with a sadistic streak and a nightclub owner. Street wise and intuitive, especially when it comes to reading people Mooney is not one to be crossed she is the boss of the young Oswald Cobblepot (played by newcomer Robin Lord Taylor), who as any Batman fan knows becomes The Penguin. Cobblepot’s journey from underling to notorious criminal mastermind is set to feature as one of Gotham’s stories.
Weird, I thought she’d be too busy forcing her vaginal fruits into the limelight to concentrate on anything else. Fun fact, she was also in a terrible Disturbed knock-off band called Wicked Wisdom.
