Next week sees the return of cantankerous magus and “nasty piece of work” John Constantine to TV screens as the character makes an appearance in the fifth episode of season 4 of The CW’s hit show “Arrow” named “Haunted”.
The episode features Matt Ryan returning to the character he played in the criminally shortlived NBC show Constantine after Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow played by Stephen Amell finds himself out of his depth dealing with otherworldly forces. Whilst Constantine may have had its flaws Ryan’s portrayal of former punk turned magus John Constantine was one of the highlights despite the limitations of the shows network, a network which developer David S Goyer has since said was the wrong home for the show. The episode has even got its own hashtag on Twitter #ConstantineOnArrow.
