Jurassic World’s 2nd trailer is out!

And you know what? I actually like it better than the first. While I am not sure that we really needed a Jurassic World movie, I doubt I could be bored during this film if I tried. And you can never have to many dinosaurs, right?

Perhaps I’m reading too much into the trailer of a movie that features dinosaurs in heavy numbers, but I couldn’t help but react to the “it’s hunting for sport'” bit. I guess it’s hard not to see the parallels to the very human activity of hunting for sport. Then again, it is a genetically engineered killing machine, designed by humans who (as per usual) lose track of their creation. And fail to learn from past mistakes, given that playing with dinosaurs didn’t turn out to be such a bright idea the first time around.

We get glimpses of the action that awaits for us in two months time and enough information to keep us interested, but not enough to guess the ending. Unless they go the classic route and the dashing hero gets the damsel in distress safe and sound, away from the big bad dinosaur. I don’t know about you, but I’m rooting for the dinosaur in this one. One way or another, it’s bound to be good and fun. I was told it also looked scary, but I have yet to notice that. If you see it, get back to me and tell me what scared you.

Special warning: Watch this movie future scientists and learn why one should never mess with nature. Especially since, as Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) put it “They’re dinosaurs. Wow enough.” (This also goes for the adults that might suddenly decide that a Triceratops would make a great pet and want to raise one in the basement).

Other than Chris Pratt, Vincent D’Onofrio, Bryce Dallas Howard and Katie McGrath also complete the stellar cast. I don’t know what their chances of surviving the whole movie are, though, given that in the trailer people seem to drop like flies. I guess we’ll all see on 12 June when the movie finally hits the theatres worldwide. Will you be watching?

What's there to say about me? I love the sci-fi and fantasy genre when I read, but I am in no way limited to that alone. I do think Frank Herbert deserves a statue for his writing(if there is one, point me in that direction, please). I enjoy writing quite a lot, but I am also kinda lazy. If you want to make me happy give me books or Doctor Who collectibles. Or a real TARDIS, in which case I will love you forever.
