I missed Sheffield Comic Con last year. This was not from lack of interest, but more to do with family birthdays.
With Michael Biehn (Corporal Hicks in Aliens and Kyle Reese in Terminator to name but two) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian from Star Wars) set to appear this year’s Comic Con, I do not care whose birthday it is this time, I am going!
If Hicks and Lando are not a big enough draw for you, Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger) and Chris Judge (Teal’c from Stargate SG-1) are also set to appear alongside a frenzy of other stars from across science fiction.
Alongside this, in the comic zone, there will be a slew of comic talent, including Judge Dredd creator John Wager, who has been described by Warren Ellis as “the single most influential writer in British comics”.
With a ton of comics, manga, anime (yes, the two are different), gaming and cosplay, the Sheffield Film and Comic Con is going to be an awesome weekend.
