Steam Big Picture Goes Live; Brings More Sales Too

Steam has been completely reformatted from today to not only be compatible with full size TV screens, but also with game controllers as well. So if your gaming experience is more about kicking back in the living room; Big Picture is just for you. Now you can enjoy the same great looking and performing PC games from the comfort of your couch, and you can even bring all your current Steam buddies to the party as well.

And if that wasn’t enough, Steam have also started another sale to celebrate the announcement, with all sale titles “fully controller supported”, and the full Steam catalogue of 2500+ regular titles to browse through as well.

The whole text resolution of the store has been revamped, and they have even introduced their new web browser and text entry system designed for controllers. Cutely named “Daisywheel”, it replaces the QUERTY setup. All the other benefits of Steam are still present such as cloud saves, and it’s even possible to switch between a controller and keyboard and mouse setup within Big Picture, as well as switch between Big Picture and the traditional mode with a simple button press, too.

So if there are still any gamers with PCs out there that somehow haven’t experienced the gaming revolution that is Steam, really, you have no more excuses! Check out the video below for more info;
