Mortal Kombat X – Raiden Fatality!

With a release date in 2015, the gore-obsessed imps at NetherRealm studios have let loose a sneaky Raiden Fatality and gameplay video. Rumours are that the next release will include Kano.

In the video we see some of the new Raiden fight mechanics, as well as Kotal Khan (a new, Aztec-based ruler of Outworld) and his brutal X-ray move.

Each character will have three fighting styles to mix up the action. Previously Ed Boon mentioned Scorpion’s three modes; a “Ninjutsu” variation, in which he wields dual swords, a “Hellfire” variation, which relies more on fiery special moves, and an “Inferno” variation in which he can summon minions from the Nether Realm to aid him.

The three Raiden styles are “Thunder God”, which enhances his lightning attacks, “Displacer”, which massively incorporates his teleportation move to move more unpredictably around the arena, and “Storm Lord”, which enables the use of vector-based projectile lightning traps. These variations effectively turn each character into three, each with their own timings, moves and combos.

The video then demonstrates an example of the hyper-violent, eye-popping fatalities we have come to expect. Enjoy!

Rumours are that the next information will reveal Kano.
