For those still grieving the loss of one TV’s true works of genius, Breaking Bad, I have a little something to brighten your day. It is a very short teaser for the spinoff Better Call Saul, which as you probably know features shady lawyer Saul Goodman played by Bob Odenkirk. Saul is one of my favourite character, not just in this show but of all the TV I have watched and I’ve watched a lot.
This teaser aired over the weekend in the US courtesy of AMC. Fans will keenly observe that his hair is a lot fuller and more luxurious, which considering the series is a prequel it makes sense. In the 9 second clip Saul seems to be addressing a client and has this to say: “Lawyers, we’re like health insurance. You hope you never need it, but man oh man, not having it? No.” The series will focus on the early days of Saul’s wheeling and dealing from struggling lawyer to adviser to his villainous clientèle. As a Breaking Bad fan I am particulary looking forward to the return of hard ass Mike…I miss him…I miss them all.
At the end of the teaser we get an air date of February 2015 so just six long months to wait…sigh.
