“It’s Morphin’ Time!”
The Power Rangers fandom got its most anticipated teaser trailer this morning thanks to Lionsgate at this years NYCC (that’s New York Comic Con for all you heathens).
SABAN’S Power Rangers movie due to hit us in the UK 27th March next year has teased and tickled us with posters and concept artwork. San Diego Comic Con gave us the first peak at the power coins and helmets, but in true ‘Big Apple’ fashion NYCC dropped the thing that all Ranger fans (including me) wanted to see and it didn’t disappoint.
Dark tones, gritty with a more ‘down and dirty’ feel, this could be the Power Rangers for the new age. No more brightly coloured cheerleader types going “Ready ok!” and then leaping into a fight but realistic teenagers that deal with modern problems, some loners, some juveniles and the occasional geek. Real situations, amazing locations and a sense of dread and lurking danger in the teaser trailer has already raised my expectations. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself here.
