Since it’s revival in 2005, Doctor Who has arguably been most notable for the companions the writers lump our eponymous hero with. Besides giving him someone to talk to between space-time shenanigans, these companions have given the audience someone to relate to who isn’t an ancient immortal (who has literally been to the end of the universe and back) with varying degrees of success.
Whatever your opinon of the various groupies who’ve kept the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver polished, you’ll have to agree that the latest, Amy Pond, is one of the best. With her feisty Scotch belligerence and natural charm, hers was one of the more interesting stories the show has told (especially compared to Martha “I’m a doctor too, geddit?” Jones.)
As she is soon to leave our screens, I thought I would demonstrate her brilliance with this clip of her real-life counterpart, actress Karen Gillen, doing a surprisingly awesome Dalek impression. Enjoy!
