It’s with a heavy heart that I write this, a man who I considered a true comedy genius has departed this world to make his final boat ride to paradise.
Gene Wilder, famously known for his role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Willy Wonka has passed away at the age of 83. No information has been released yet on ‘how’ but I know for most of us, it is a sudden and tragic loss.
His most famous line still echos in the back of my mind “We are the music makers, we are the dreamers of dreams”. Mr Wilder will be missed by all, our thoughts and prayers here at Geek Pride go out to his daughter Katharine and the rest of his family.
