If you’ve yet to pick up Bethesda’s recent Wolfenstein: The New Order but still like the idea of shooting faceless Nazis in the bollocks then you’re in luck as Sniper Elite V2 is currently available free for PC users on Steam.
Released by Rebellion in 2012, Sniper Elite V2 didn’t exactly set the world on fire when it launched but remains a competent and often excruciatingly graphic sniping sim with a decent sized single player campaign and some pretty decent multiplayer to boot. Be quick and add the game to your Steam account though as the price will go back up to normal at 6pm UK time tomorrow (05//06/2014).
This is an official promotion launched by the game’s publisher as the aptly titled Sniper Elite 3 is due for release on 3rd July. The period surrounding E3 has proven to be quite a good time for free game promotions with quite a few popping up over the last few years so keep watching this space and we’ll update the site if we come across any more.
