Jazz Rendition of the Pokemon Theme is a Dinner Party Must

For the adults who were kids in the 90s, the Pokemon theme tune is a cherished childhood memory. Naturally as a geek and a parent I used to sing the theme sing to my babies – as you would a nursery rhyme – only my performance was more dramatic and featured a lot of air grabs.

Alas, we are grown-ups now and as such we should probably try to be a little more mature…at least some of the time, but it doesn’t mean we have to give up the Pokemon theme song. Scott Bradlee from Postmodern Jukebox presents this jazz rendition of our beloved song. Featuring the vocals of Sara Niemietz and packed with a whole lotta soul it works beautifully. Though it was released back in 2015, with all the super hype surrounding Pokemon Go and the way it is bringing people together, I felt it important to make sure you knew of this cover’s existence. Seriously, you need to pop this one on at your next fancy dinner party.
