Clwyd Theatr Cymru in North Wales has been chosen for special preview screenings on 7th December (ahead of its full UK release on 12th December) of the final film in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, The Battle of the Five Armies.
Royd Tolkien, great grandson of J.R.R Tolkien, who grew up in the area and has organised the day, commented, “My brother, Mike, has Motor Neurone Disease and the support and treatment he’s received from local centres has been outstanding. This is a great way of helping them raise vital funds to reach out and help other people in need as they have done so perfectly with Mike.”
Royd will be joined at the screening by other members of his family as well as a few special guests.
