Star Wars Reads Day! 6th October 2012

Not really sure how I missed this! In July StarWars.com declared the 6th of October to be Star Wars Reads day. They invite fans to come together and celebrate reading and Star Wars.  Disappointingly the majority of the events appear to happen in America, with raffles and giveaways to entice folks, as well as some events having writers and costumed characters on hand.

But the lack of inclusion here in the UK should not stop us. Literacy is important so open your calendar app and add this awesome event to October the 6th. This is  your advance warning! Sometimes life and the internet get in the way and you may find lacking the time to pick up a book.  I implore you, support literacy and read Star Wars on the 6th October, whether its the Millennium Falcon User Manual or C-3PO’s Diaries, READ SOMETHING!!

You can join in with the fun on Facebook – Star Wars Reads

Also Doctor Who and Firefly rock!!
