Beauty and the Beast Bluetooth Speaker by Camino

Well ladies and gents its here, our review annnnd giveaway of the Beauty and the Beast Blue Tooth Speaker by Camino.

Now I’m not going to lie to you, Beauty and the Beast and general Disney princess films aren’t overly my bag.. I’m a 6ft 3, Tattooed Irish Rocker, who formally may have looked like said beast but generally is all about the pew pew and the newwwwoo boom and the super hero thing.

Therefore when I was told I was getting said speaker to review I was slightly perplexed and, again if I’m honest, not overly interested. We get a lot of stuff here at GPHQ so it didn’t really come up on my radar, that is, until it landed on our door step and I opened the Fedex box.

First off I was faced with a rather large and somewhat weighty object, the box its self is nicely decorated with inlayed custom foam to prevent any delivery accidents, or as has been the case for me some times.. amazon.. just chucked over the garden fence.

The speaker itself and the lid are made of plastic but I have to admit it doesn’t look like plastic, and to be honest, doesn’t feel like plastic either. Taking it out of the box you can feel good weight to it and placing it on the table in my conservatory and turning it on for the first time the manly, Rock Viking side of me started to feel a bit of a flutter… compose yourself Matt.

The Speak itself is a simple piece of kit that will connect via blue tooth to any device that allows this, in my case I had it linked to my Amazon Echo. It has an on/ off switch, a charging port, an Axillary port, a charging light and a switch to dim the light.

As the sound goes, there is no volume other than that from your phone or other device but it does go up pretty loud, as you can see from this video but unless you have  connected to another system I don’t think it will compete much with a big party environment; but to be honest I doubt a speaker like this would ever be used as a sole audio system for a shindig anyway.

My only issue is, I would love there to be option for you to control the lighting and have it moving around like it does when you turn it on, or when its not synced, but as far as I can see this isn’t possible. Also, I think it would have been great for the lights to go in time with the music; again, unfortunately not an option.

All being said this is a beautiful piece and for $200 or about £165 it is worth its money. The only problem is  I’ve struggled to find where you can buy one, other than a site in America called https://www.hero-audio.com; I’m unsure if there will be more options when the film is released or not but if this isn’t the case then that would make this a rather rare item, especially here in the UK…. Matt likes Rare items, damn it!

All in all, for a man who has little interest in princess films, I have to admit I fell in love with this item. It’s well made, has clear sound, is a great concept and for all those Disney Princes and Princesses out there a must have for your collection.

4 /5

Now  I was very tempted to keep this speaker…if only because my girlfriend has literally stopped talking to me because I wont give it to her….  But…. I did promise to give it away didn’t I so, as a man of my word I am going to do just that.
