Great Podcast brought to us by local Manc podcasters : Gameovercast…. made all the better because I’m being interviewed near the end, so if you don’t want to hear my dulcet, Irish tones, then stop listening about 1hr 12mins in ;oD
Please note there is bad language in this podcast, so if you are easily offended, then best not listen
A podcast about games, not a review cast, not a preview cast, and not something based around the editorial of a magazine or a website. It is in fact 4 friends who have spent a large portion of their lives playing computer games way of venting our views about games, the industry and the public perception of gaming in general. It is occasionally funny, occasionally insightful, occasionally informative but hopefully always entertaining.
Hello and welcome to episode 115 of the GameOverCast!
This week Jay(kind of), Radarhead, Gibson, Major Tom and Nijinsky bring you their redundant opinions on all the games.
The show opens with Gibson and Radar recapping on their experience at Play Expo, we find out our beloved PJBling has been struck down with pneumonia, Radar tells about a Gaming related anime he has been watching, and it all goes down hill from there.
In Games we’ve been playing this week, the crew invade your ears with every aspect (bar multiplayer, d’oh) of the new Xcom game, Tom and Radar try their best to talk about the shocking events in Walking dead episode 4 without spoiling it, and Tom tells us all about the sneaky overpowered badassness of Dishonored!
News has us happy that Mechwarrior Online is making hella money before its even left Closed Beta, again questioning the point of Mass effect 3 single player DLC expanding on the already ended story and Gibson has happy times in his pants about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to lego.
We then move onto a great interview with Matthew Geary from Geek-Pride.co.uk, where we discuss his Geek origins, the driving factor behind the sites existence and best of all, how he fooled his girlfriend into a relationship :).
We finish of the show by reading out an awesome email that prompts a new entry into our Gaming Hall of Fame, but mostly its about trying to get Tom to read it out in an accent :).
Enjoy!
