The largest D&D celebration of the year, D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage, occurred last week, celebrating the first and largest roleplaying game in the world. Amongst the many reveals that weekend, one of the most eagerly anticipated was an exclusive look at the gameplay of the forthcoming Baldur’s Gate III.
Highlights of the weekend included, Deborah Ann Woll led a group of actors including Amy Acker, Jay Ellis, Janina Gavankar, Matthew Lillard and Sam Richardson, in improvising a way to help people in a fantasy world not that different from ours.
Meanwhile, Kate Welch DMed a wild and hilarious bunch of comedians as they experienced D&D’s upcoming setting Icewind Dale for the first time. Participants are Sue Perkins, Kevin Sussman, Thomas Middleditch, Reggie Watts and Melissa Villasenor.
Finally, D&D’s Cast of Thrones game reunited Game of Thrones stars Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Daniel Portman (Podrick), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton), Natalia Tena (Osha) and Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) in an epic adventure. (Not written by George R R Martin, otherwise everyone would have died…)
