Yesterday Bryan Singer announced via Twitter that the ever enjoyable to watch Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage will be joining X-Men: Days of Future Past. Commence whoops of excitement all round!!
Dinklage will be joining an already outstanding cast including James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult reprising their roles. With the added bonus of Patrick Stewart as old Professor Xavier, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Ian McKellen as old Magneto, Anna Paquin as Rogue, Ellen Page as Kitty Pride, and Shawn Ashmore as Iceman.
Speculation around the internet is shouting that the little actor with big talent will be playing Puck, the 3’6″ mercenary turned Alpha Flight member. Though I’m not sure how well this sits with me; I can’t recall Puck being in this particular story line and Google hasn’t been able to tell me any different. Though there is definitely a resemblance between the two (see below) I don’t believe we should jump to conclusions, instead just bask in the joy of such a charismatic and talented actor in what I hope turns out to be an epic film.
