Tabletop Day 2014 with Wil Wheaton, oh my!

It’s here! On April 5th, board gaming shops and venues around the world will join metaphorical hands and celebrate Tabletop Day 2014! Headed by Wesley Crusher himself, Mr Wil Wheaton, and the folks over at Geek and Sundry, the 2013 event was a huge success with players in every continent (that’s right, even Antarctica!) grabbing friends, relatives and that weird bloke at the bus-stop and chucking them in front of something with dice, meeples and of course, a board!

This year is set to be huge, with over 2000 venues already registered to take part. A number of exclusive promotion items will be available for all participants, such as custom six sided dice and even your very own Wil Wheaton standee!

Hard to say no to this fella!

Each venue will have a slew of games and like minded people to play with, making this event ideal for the oldhats and the newbies alike. So if you fancy checking out board games beyond the usual Monopoly and Risk, this is the perfect time to do so!

This is going to be awesome!

So how can I partake I hear you cry!? Get yourself over to the Tabletop website and use the interactive map to find a venue near you. Me? I’ll be at the epic Rules of Play in Cardiff picking up my dice and other lovely freebies, so don’t be afraid to say hello if your heading there yourself!
