The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds – Release Date and New Dungeon System

2537200-the-legend-of-zelda-a-link-between-worlds-2Today Nintendo have announced that The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will be released on 22nd November on 3DS. This is the first original title for the console and is in many ways a follow-on from the SNES classic ‘A Link to the Past’ which was released in 1991.

As well as finally giving us a solid release date for the new Zelda title, the new dungeon system has also been explained for the first time. Unlike previous games in which the dungeons are approached in a particular order, after a certain point you will be able to choose in which order you tackle them. There will be a shop in which you can buy or hire the weapons or items needed for each dungeon which means that you can choose which one you go for.

This new dungeon system for A Link Between Worlds is the second new feature we’ve heard about for the upcoming title; along with Link’s ability to walk on walls, appearing as though he were a painting. Neither of the new features are exactly ground breaking or all that exciting, but I for one, am very happy to hear that the game has finally received a release date. It looks like we at Geek Pride have managed to score a review copy for the game in November, so I’ll be able to give you my verdict before it hits the shelves. Although, if you’re as much of a Zelda geek as I am, it won’t matter what anyone else says about the game. It’s gonna’ be fabulous.
