Passing some time on StumbeUpon the other day, I came upon this little gem…an infographic of the 100 most worthwhile DOS games ever. Growing up in the 90’s, looking through this list was incredibly nostalgic for me. I spent a lot of time on many of these games, they taught me things, and helped shape my life and interests; and many of them hold very fond memories for me.

Syndicate, for example, was one of the the first games I ever truly appreciated above the level of simple platformers like Sonic, and The Secret of Monkey Island taught me that games and other media could be appreciated for more than just their base value, and led me to discover the beautiful worlds of Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Obviously to me, the list is nowhere near perfect. Dungeon Keeper is absent, for example, and that practically introduced me to the fantasy genre.
So, how many of these classics did you enjoy back in the day? Did any of you have similar experiences as mine? And what would you change on the list?
