With 3 days until filming begins on Kick-Ass 2:Balls to the Wall, it was confirmed by Mark Millar yesterday that Jim Carrey will be starring in the role of Colonel Stars, the Born Again christian badass, co founder of the superhero group Justice Forever. Mark Millar states:

As a fan of the first Kick-Ass I am excited for the next and so far the buzz is good. Jim Carrey has done some wonderful work, Me Myself and Irene being my favourite pick, but he does have a tendency to be annoying sometimes, which is always a worry. However, I am confident that in a supporting role and under that watchful eye of director Jeff Wadlow and writers Mark Millar and John Romita Jr he can only add to an already awesome cast and story.
