Whilst we Brits have been obsessing over Manchester MCM and London Anime Con, our American friends were preoccupied with a little convention in San Diego. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. By far the biggest news to come out of SDCC was the announcements from Marvel and DC, teasing the second Avengers movie and a Superman/Batman movie respectively.
Avengers: Age of Ultron. Just the title is bringing me out in excited goosebumps. It’s so full of promise- Ultron means Ant-Man and therefore Wasp, and possibly Vision too! Excitement!
Superman/Batman (or possibly Batman/Superman) on the other hand… well, I’m trying to get excited, but I can’t help but think of it as a Trinity movie with a conspicuous lack of Wonder Woman. Still, Man of Steel was good, so I don’t doubt this’ll be an amazing film, even though we’ve seen so much of Batman in the past few years that I’m pretty much sick of the sight of him.
