Today (9th Feb 2013) saw the start of the London Anime Con 2013 at the Rocket in Holloway. There was so much to see and do throughout the day; bands were playing, card gaming session were played, anime films were screened, in the gaming area there were sessions of classic video games such as Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros & Mario Kart; artists were offering anime style portraits of fans and stalls were selling vintage video games and consoles, clothing, toys, films, comics, gaming cards, anime posters and much more.
In the back room a hive of various talks took place including cosplay and voice actor Q&As and chibi workshops. On the main stage there were a variety of events including various Q&As, J-Pop Anime soundtrack singing, a fashion show and a talent show. Many people got into the spirit by dressing up as their favourite characters; not just ones based on anime but also video games, comics and films too. There was a brilliant atmosphere and an altogether great day. Here is a selection of pictures highlighting some of sights featured in the show. Enjoy.
