Comics for Equality (or ComiX4=, depending on how cool you feel like being) is running a competition entitled *deep breath* The European Award for the Best Unpublished Comics by Authors with Migrant Backgrounds. It’s a mouthful to say and a handful to type, but it’s actually a pretty simple concept: write and draw a short comic falling into one of the three categories -Stereotypes; Stories of Migration; and The Fight Against Racism- and you could win €1,000.
Now doesn’t that sound like fun?
![Also, this logo is frickin' adorable](https://www.geek-pride.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/883678_508282119229789_1680731764_o.jpg)
The deadline for submissions is July 30th, and entry is open to EU member states, EFTA countries and countries on the way to membership. If you have a story you want to tell, hustle on over there and get scribbling! If you don’t, get over there anyway and have a read through some of the entries, because they are epic- I’m particularly fond of Petronela Dostalova’s short-but-sweet “Red Met Yellow”. Well, what are you still doing here? Go go go!
