Arguably the worlds worst franchise, ‘Kane & Lynch’ looks to be on the way to being turned into a film. A series which should have disappeared after the first game looks set to role on.
Rumor has it that Gerard Butler has been approached to play Kane and there is talk that Vin Diesel is about to be sounded out to play Lynch. Whilst neither of these actors have actually signed upon the dotted line yet, the films director F. Gary Gray has worked with the pair in the past and it’s thought they may sign if the money is right.
But will the series make a better film than it ever did as a game? The short answer to this question is, ‘it couldn’t be any worse than the game itself.’
If your not familiar with the series, it is about a criminally psychotic duo who get broken out of prison by a criminal king-pin who sends them on missions which inevitably gets a lot of people killed. It seems doubtful that the script writers will venture far from the games format, hopefully it’ll be much better than it’s video game counterpart.
