SmartHalo – Making cycling smarter

Ride a bicycle? Sick of only petrolheads having fancy satnavs and touchscreen displays? Then, the SmartHalo might be of interest…

The SmartHalo is a smart device that claims it can be fitted to any bicycle.  This, potentially, allows any bike to be turned into a smart bike, without having to pay hundreds of pounds.

Once paired with a smartphone, it provides the rider with a Satnav, night light, fitness tracker and alarm system, as well as notifying the rider of any incoming calls and texts through the display.

Quite how the SmartHalo acts as an anti-theft device is unclear, nor if the Satnav incorporates trails as well as roads is unclear.

The SmartHalo is now available in the UK and can be ordered online.
