Warner Bros. dropped the latest trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel movie in the wee hours of this morning, suitably bathed in the dulcet tones of one Russell Crowe.
In quite an impressive-looking trailer, it seems that the “I don’t wanna be different” card is being played early on, with an emphasis on Kal-El growing some balls and stepping up to the challenge of Zod later on. Check out the trailer below:
The trailer is definitely looking visually impressive, and it looks like some good casting in terms of Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Clarke/Superman (Henry Cavil). I’ve never been that sold on the character of Superman though really – he’s always seemed very self-righteous and like an all-American prettyboy, and that’s put me off (I prefer the antiheroes, or the get the job done any way possible heroes myself)… but I think with a suitable injection of humour, some great action and some decent dialogue we could be looking at a winner here.
Though if I were a betting man, I think Iron Man 3 may overshadow Man Of Steel when it comes to box office take… but we’ll see – there’s a lot riding on poor Superman’s shoulders including the possibility of a Justice League movie, and with that in mind, I hope it does well.
