Robert Kirkman has announced his excitement at the plans for a spin-off from AMC’s smash hit series The Walking Dead, based on the comic series he created.
Set to appear in 2015, the as-yet-untitled show will focus on a completely different set of characters in the zombie-infested apocalyptic world that has proven a hit for both comics and TV fans.
Kirkman had this to say on the proposed project:
“After ten years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe”
It raises the point of whether people are going to be interested, with zombie related media reaching saturation point…
